E-Photo - FTP Upload

Electronic files are becoming larger as users are incorporating digital photographs and graphic-intensive illustrations into their digital files.

The most common method of conveying digital information from computer to computer is FTP (File Transfer Protocol) which can be intimidating to a novice computer user. To eliminate these problems, Path Photo has developed an easy system to transfer your files for graphic and photographic production. Just follow the steps below for an easy way to have Pathology Photography assist you.

If you prefer to use your own ftp software (SmartFTP, CuteFTP, Fetch, Transmit, etc.). Most FTP software packages are free to download and others may cost a small fee, but all these will be a good addition to your software library.

If you have an FTP software, login using this information:

After logging on, you must first create a folder with your last name.Then drag your files INSIDE of the “Drop Folder” folder. Once file(s)are in the "Drop Folder", You must call Pathology Photography- (410) 955-3843, and tell them you are placing files on the FTP site. FILES WILL NOT BE IMAGED WITHOUT THE INITIAL TELEPHONE CALL.   After typing ftp://162.129.240.248 as the url, go to File...Login as, then enter (User name:) PathFTP....(Password:) path. This will again show the "Drop Folder" and "Pick_up Folder". You must first create a folder with your last name.Then drag your files INSIDE of the “Drop Folder” folder. Once file(s)are in the "Drop Folder", You must call Pathology Photography- (410) 955-3843, and tell them you are placing files on the FTP site.
